Medical Update - 2/8/17

I had my annual wellness exam on Feb. 1, and was anxious to see how the bloodwork would turn out. Obviously my weight was down, and I can't remember now what my blood pressure was but I think it was lower than usual. (The doctor didn't comment on it, at any rate.) I got the lab results back today, and I'm pretty impressed. I'm going to include 2015 in here just to show the difference in general improvement vs. Isa improvement.

Lab 4/30/2015 4/17/2016 2/1/2017
Glucose 86 81 80
Cholesterol (normal is < 200) 185 175 149
HDL (goal is > 40, very good is > 60) 44 44 38*
LDL (desired is < 130) 123 144 97
Triglycerides (normal is < 150) 90 84 69

*My HDL ("good" cholesterol" was a little low. The doctor's comment was "This may be raised by regular aerobic exercises most days of the week." Since I'm planning to increase my exercise routine soon, hopefully that will address the HDL issue. (I was also slightly anemic, at 11.6 where above 12 is normal; I suspect that was a timing thing.)

I started Isagenix on October 2, 2016, so these results are after four months. It will be interesting to see where I end up in 2018, after a full year plus more frequent exercise. I should note that while this was fasting bloodwork, my last cleanse was the week prior (1/24/-1/25).
